Executive Leadership

Ashley

Chief Executive Officer

Having spent over 25 years in London in the manufacturing sector, Ashley brings a wealth of experience to the table. During his tenure as MD at world-leading Swedish office furniture company, Kinnarps, Ashley was responsible for innovative refurbishments of several impressive buildings within the Corporate and Central Government sectors. As CEO of Southerns Broadstock Interiors he now leads a team of industry specialists with the aim of becoming the UK’s number one choice for workplace furniture solutions, as well as driving sustainable working practices. His key focus is to successfully grow the business across our four main sectors: Health, Government, Education and Corporate, whilst maintaining our entrepreneurial and customer focussed culture. Southerns Broadstock Interiors prides itself on its incisive thinking, end-to-end delivery and supplying the right furniture, fixtures and equipment to optimise space and enhance user experience.

Lynsey

Finance Director

I’m Lynsey, I’m thoroughly excited about joining the Executive Leadership team at Southerns Broadstock Interiors. I want to continue the journey already set in place to improve the performance of the business and to continue to deliver excellence to our customers. One of my priorities is to identify ways to improve our profitability and cashflow – I want to do this by supporting our management team as much as I can, and to ensure we are a first-class Finance team. With experience across IT, retail and engineering industries, furniture is a first but one I’m looking forward to getting started with.

I enjoy the outdoors and spend most of my time outside work either hiking, kayaking or mountain biking.

Pete

Chief Customer Officer

Pete has spent many years working across several operational roles at different worldwide companies, and now he is looking forward to leading innovative work and projects alongside the talented Southerns Broadstock Interiors team.

He has led large teams throughout his career, and has helped deliver transformational change throughout businesses, focusing heavily on a person-centred approach.

Loren

Company Secretary & HR Manager

As HR Manager, Loren works alongside senior management to create and implement HR strategies that are aligned with our business values and aims. This covers a range of areas including recruitment and retention, training and performance, compensation and benefits, and overall business culture. A company is only as good as its people, and Loren places our people at the centre of everything we do. Loren is mum to 11-month-old Barney, who manages to keep her schedule busy outside of work.

SHEQ Manager

With over 40 years of experience in the furniture industry, I oversee key accreditations such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and Chain of Custody, ensuring we meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and safety.

I take pride in collaborating with a fantastic team across all departments, contributing to a forward-thinking company alongside many talented colleagues.

Outside of work, I enjoy walking in the Lake District with my wife, lending a hand with DIY projects for our sons and their families, and cherishing time with our granddaughter.

Ange

Head of Logistics

With a wealth of experience in logistics, Ange is looking forward to continuing the improvement of our installation services and customer journey. She is currently looking to expand the logistics team and is excited about welcoming new members on board.

Ryan

Head of Digital

Facilitating change and leveraging new digital solutions is Ryan’s speciality. As part of his drive for continual improvement, he is planning on bringing more business functions onto our new HubSpot CRM tool and implementing a new Quote Generator solution. Ryan is a Chartered Manager with a BSc Degree in Business Management and a MSc Degree in Innovation & IT Management.

Dave

Head of Operations

Managing our three sites, Dave works tirelessly to promote positive change in the company, seeking out new ways of optimising and improving processes. A family man with 2 grown-up children, he is looking forward to the arrival of his first grandchild.

Design Team

Lee

Head of Creative Design

Lee works with our clients, supply chain partners and built environment professionals to take projects through from concept to completion. He develops interior schemes and furniture palettes by collaborating closely with all stakeholders, creating inspiring spaces that allow organisations to reach their full potential. A key aspect of his role is to undertake research, exploring current trends alongside an ever evolving approach to key subjects such as Inclusive Design, Wellbeing and Smart Working.

Demi

Workspace Consultant

Nothing makes me happier than outstanding results. It fuels my enthusiasm for design and is one of my favourite things about my job.

I have a strong background in architectural and workplace design which has helped me find innovative person-centred design solutions, something that I’m excited to do more of at Southerns Broadstock Interiors. The end user always remains the main focus in my design process, allowing a seamless connection between them and operators. 

David

Lead Designer (Technical)

Nearly 20 years in the furniture industry and over 25 years in design. David’s role is to produce furniture layouts, quality 3D visuals and supporting documentation. He is also responsible for maintaining Southerns Broadstock Interior’s extensive 2D, 3D and Revit furniture libraries. David is always looking at how we can improve what we can offer as a department to our clients, from 3D images to interactive environments.

Nathan

Designer

Nathan’s responsibilities include 2D spatial layouts, 3D visualisations and walkthroughs, detailed installation drawings, mood boards and presentations. He enjoys working as part of a fast-paced multidisciplinary team, coming up with creative solutions to provide clients with the best scheme for their needs and improving their working environment. In his spare time Nathan enjoys playing golf, or supporting his football team with a few beers to hand.

Finance Team

Joe

Commercial Finance & Systems Manager

Joe’s role and responsibilities include developing and managing the business’ reporting and management information, as well as focusing on process and system improvements to help Southerns Broadstock Interiors run as smooth as possible. He is currently working towards completing the CIMA qualification to add to his already considerable skillset.

Caleb

Financial Controller

I’ve been a qualified accountant for the last 13 years and strive to keep developing and progressing with Southerns Broadstock Interiors. I love being part of the Finance team and spend most of my time monitoring cash flow and working capital, all to improve things financially for the business.

Sport is a huge interest of mine. I’m a season ticket holder at Bolton Wanders, play 5-a-side football most weeks, love weightlifting in the gym and try get out on bike rides with my daughter as often as I can.

Kyle

Commercial Finance Analyst

I’ve been working in finance for almost a decade, and I thoroughly enjoy my role as a Commercial Finance Analyst. My key skills are Data Engineering, Advanced Excel, VBA Programming and Accountancy. This is what allows me to provide valuable insights and knowledge to the business about our financial and statistical information, helping us improve and do better.

Previously I’ve worked in credit control function, bookkeeping, management accounting and financial analysis. All of this experience has allowed me to do my job incredibly well. I’m currently working towards my CIMA Chartered Management Accountant, which will only benefit the business in the future.

I like to keep myself busy outside of work whether that’s novel writing, game design or immersing myself in the wonderful world of maths and physics. I consider myself a quiet, science and maths spectator.

Sarah

Finance Manager

I have worked for Southerns Broadstock Interiors for 14 years. I originally started with the company with a dual role as a Sales co-ordinator and finance Assistant which then progressed to a Finance Manager position. I work closely with the finance team at Wingates to ensure that all transactional entries are completed in a timely manner to ensure a smooth running of the finance department. I have two teenage children which make me greyer by the day. I am proud to be part of a growing business and very grateful to work with amazing colleagues.

Margaret

Finance Manager

I have worked in the finance team at Southerns Broadstock Interiors for over 35 years and taken on several roles including sales ledger and purchase ledger. My main responsibilities currently are payroll and preparation of the data for the company’s Management accounts. In my spare time I like to watch live athletics, and in particular team GB, which has so far taken me all over Europe and ties in with my love to travel.

Sales and Purchase Ledger Assistant

I’m a Sales and Purchase Ledger Assistant which involves chasing money in from customers, and being chased for money by suppliers, bank reconciliations, petty cash & expenses. I am grateful that I always seem to be given opportunities to expand my skills/knowledge, I love to learn new things. Also, I’m a proud Mummy to 2 girls who keep me extremely busy and love to keep me up all night!

Sales & Purchase Ledger Assistant

In my Sales and Purchase Ledger Assistant role some of my day to day duties consist of credit controlling, reconciling supplier accounts, monitoring our finance inbox, assisting the Finance Manager where possible and dealing with any sort of finance query. I am very happy be a part of a great Finance Team and look forward to my future at Southerns Broadstock Interiors.

Sales Process Director

Innovative and influential with a reputation for delivering great outcomes and creating value through customer focus.

Hayley joined Southerns Broadstock Interiors as a trainee account manager in 2014, and progressed to sales team manager in 2022. She leads a team of industry specialists in the higher education and corporate sector, while providing daily support to the sales director. As a leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, Hayley is looking forward to the future of Southerns Broadstock Interiors and working closely with our successful sales team.

As a mum to two young boys, Logan and Roman, her weekends are filled with creating memories that last a lifetime.

Robert

Regional Sales Director

My role is to lead the public sector team and grow our business within the public sector across government and healthcare. I’m excited about the potential within public sector, as well as the great team that I work with across SBI.

I’m always happiest when I am on two wheels!

Daniel

Regional Sales Director

With over 25 years in the furniture industry, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in delivering projects, both big and small. I feel to be successful in this industry you must be an approachable and communicative member of a strong team, I’m very fortunate to be apart of a very strong team.

I have an interest in the entire function of the business and enjoy collaborating with other departments where I can. I have a passion for marketing and finding ways to add value through collaboration.

I live in the Sussex with my best friend, a Puggle called Toby.

Steph

Account Manager, Northwest

I’m an account manager covering the Northwest and Greater Manchester area. I look after mainly higher education customers but have worked with many others. Corporate, further education, NHS, government and main contractor customers are some of the others.

My role is to be a single point of contact for my customers, assisting on their projects. From the early inception and planning stages right through to completion and aftercare; completing site visits and surveys, space measuring, product and interiors specification and advice. Supported by quotations and space plans/ area designs, finishes and colour advice.
I’m grateful for the team I work with and consider everyone as a friend. It’s amazing to be able to work with such a friendly, hard-working group! I’m proud to tell people I work for SBI!

I’m a very passionate dog mum with 3 fur babies who I never stop talking about; my world pretty much revolves around them! I’m also a keen DIY-er in my spare time. My partner and I buy properties to renovate and sell on, which has been a labour of love at times, as we do pretty much all the work ourselves. My hobbies outside of work include going to the gym, cooking, and shopping sprees!

Dan

Account Manager, West Midlands

I am an account manager covering the West Midlands and have over 15 years’ experience within the industry. I started out installing the furniture and now I am using my expertise and knowledge to sell it. I thrive on speaking to customers in our core sectors, such as Higher Education, Healthcare and Corporate. I really enjoy what I do.

I have 3 wonderful children at home, Olivia, Harry and George, and love spending my evenings and weekends with them, I’m also a keen footballer (despite my age), and still love playing!

Giselle

Account Manager, Northwest

I’m an account manager covering the Northwest, responsible for assisting Higher Education, Healthcare, Public Sector and Corporate customers to create inspirational and inclusive workspaces.

I enjoy meeting with current and new customers to showcase our extensive range of solutions, building long lasting relationships.

I am mum of two grown up boys who I still support every weekend at various sporting events, being it on the side line, at rugby or walking the boundary at cricket.

Federico

Account Manager, Yorkshire

As a sales account manager, my role is to offer optimal furniture solutions through consultation and engagement with clients.

With my past project management experience in design and build projects for both commercial and the education sector. I have an extensive knowledge in understanding designer’s requirements coordinated with all the building elements. SBI is a place where people are given the opportunity to grow and develop, hence why I’ve been with the company since 2011.

I hold a Bachelor degree with Honours in Business Management and PRINCE 2 qualification. I love good wine, nice food, all shared with the company of family and friends!

Peter

Account Manager

I’ve got over 25 years of experience in both public and private sectors, and I’m looking forward to getting started, focusing on Higher Education in the south of England and continuing to offer the great Southerns Broadstock Interiors customer experience. 

A fun fact about me: I’ve been involved with cover bands for many years and currently singing with ‘The Cover Up’ playing indie and 80s hits!

Mike

Account Manager, East Midlands

I am responsible for developing existing and new accounts for SBI. This includes working with Rob on the newly created Government Property Agency account, responsible for creating new workspaces for all government offices in the UK.

I really enjoy working at our new head office in Wingates, it is a great new `state of the art` facility which integrates all the areas of the business together.

I’m currently volunteering with our local church to renovate their new building for the local community.

Kevin

Account Manager, Government (National)

I’m an account manager and work with clients within the DWP, Government and Public Sector, and have been with SBI for 10 years.

I am very happy to work for a company that rigorously stands behinds its promises and commitments to its customers, this overall makes me very proud of what I do.

In my spare time I’m a keen sky diver, and I have taken separate qualifications to become an instructor within this discipline. I’m hoping to convince some of my colleagues to take the ‘leap of faith’ with me some day!

I’ve spent years working within the Higher Education and Public sectors and am passionate about building great relationships with universities across the UK. 

I have a strong background in Account Management and Business Development and I’m enthusiastic about growth for Southerns Broadstock Interiors. 

Outside of work, I like to DJ in my spare time around venues in Newcastle.

Sales Support Manager

I’ve got over 20 years of experience in the furniture industry and 15 of those have been spent at the wonderful Southerns Broadstock Interiors working my way up from an Account Co-ordinator to Sales Support Manager. My biggest fulfilment is being able to provide our clients with the best possible solutions to meet their needs, and our team do this seamlessly. I’m incredibly proud to work with such a fantastic team and I’m excited to see what the future holds.

My two daughters certainly keep me busy outside of work and we love spending time together!

Christine

Internal Account Manager

After taking on a new role of internal account manager within the company, I’m looking forward to more customer contact and having the opportunity of proposing new design schemes for individuals. Specifying the vast number of design lead products we have available. I’ve worked alongside architects, designers, and manufacturers within the furniture industry for over 30 years and enjoy bringing my wealth of experience and insight to our clients.

Outside of work I love spending time with my family and especially my granddaughter, she most certainly keeps me active!

Account Manager

As Customer Service Supervisor, Emily is proud to work in a team that all club together to get the job done. When she isn’t training new recruits, she can be found co-ordinating deliveries, processing orders and dealing with customer queries.

Internal Account Manager

I love being part of the strong team culture at Southerns Broadstock Interiors – it encourages me to take on new challenges and responsibilities every day. I work closely with our External Sales Team, making sure that we meet our sales targets and deliver exceptional service to every client, but I’m lucky enough to work with departments across the business to make sure our objectives are aligned and that we’re doing the best we can for our clients.

My previous experience has allowed me to have a deeper understanding of sales processes, customer behaviour, and market dynamics which all benefit me in my daily role at Southerns Broadstock Interiors.

Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors, whether that’s hiking, running, or simply exploring new places. I love adventure!

Jordan

Internal Account Manager

I’m one of the newest members of the Southerns Broadstock Interiors team.

Having spent the last 15 years working at a multi-national company, I was ready for a change and found myself here in Account Management. My day-to-day includes contract management, price negotiation and project management – all of which I thoroughly enjoy! I’m new to the furniture industry but I’m keen to learn and hungry for this new challenge.

If I had to choose, I’d be Team Dog over Team Cat as I love to spend my spare time walking my beautiful dog, Lily.

Internal Account Manager

I’m proud to work on one of our key accounts at Southerns Broadstock Interiors; it allows me to expand my knowledge and develop daily. Being here for 3 years now, no two days are the same. I love building strong relationships with our clients, ensuring their needs are consistently met and that both internal and external teams are supported to the highest standard.

My favourite way to spend my spare time would be walking in the Lake District followed by a good old pub lunch.

Tony

Strategy Project Director

Tony has been a much valued part of the Southerns Broadstock Interiors team for 24 years, beginning as an account manager and eventually progressing to Sales Director where he built up the Sales team for over 10 years. In his current role of Strategy Project Director, Tony heads up the bid team to work out the best possible strategies to secure success and has been instrumental in winning a number of high-profile framework tenders.

After getting hooked on road cycling three years ago, Tony has entered a number of challenging events including a 95 mile and 8000 feet climbing event in the Peak District.

Mark M

Bid Manager

I manage our tender process to ensure we submit only the best, winning proposals. I’ve worked heavily on our strategic approach and helped Southerns Broadstock Interiors secure CCS, GPA, NWUPC, NEUPC, DFE and NHS Supply Chain frameworks. 

One of my favourite parts of my job is working with various key stakeholders across the Southerns Broadstock Interiors team. I’m also a proud Mental Health First Aider and committed to our sustainability practices. 

Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf and supporting the mighty Wolverhampton Wanderers!

Martin

Head of the Project Management Office (PMO)

As Head of the Project Management Office (PMO) I set and maintain the standards for Project Management throughout the company. I am also responsible for creating the procedures and best practices to help deliver Projects safely, smoothly, on time and on budget.

As Head of PMO, I am responsible for ensuring all Projects are correctly scheduled and that they have the required resources available.

Having regular meetings/updates with other department Heads is an essential part of my role to ensure the company is totally aligned with progress/issues etc.

I am very grateful to have such a great Team of Project Managers within my department. Their constant effort & hard work.

I’m grateful for my role at Southerns Broadstock Interiors. I enjoy being part of the PMO and with the support of my team, we ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, safely and to a high standard.

I’ve worked on a range of projects in the past in terms of both scale and complexity and I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to a new organisation and sector.

Logistics & Distribution Team

Becky

Logistics and Installation Manager

I joined the company 17 years ago as a logistics admin assistant and have been fortunate enough to work my way up to Logistics and installations manager. Day to day I manage and plan the routes, delivery and installations for the SBI install team. This can be a challenging role especially over the summer when we are at our peak, but I’m proud to work hard for my team and our business.

My weekends are usually spent on the side-lines of a football pitch supporting my sons under 11’s grass roots team.

Victoria

Logistics Hub Controller

Day to day, I manage and oversee our transport, projects and installations with our partners. I’ve been working at Southerns Broadstock Interiors for a while now, working my way up from the customer service team to logistics management. I love being able to develop and improve my personal and professional skills and this is a big priority of mine.

I’m married with three beautiful children and in my spare time, I’m having fun with my wonderful family.

Rihanna

Logistics Co-ordinator

No two days of mine are the same – I’m either dealing with our hubs, allocating orders, sending delivery notes, updating customer spreadsheets or managing phone queries. I’ve got a strong background in customer service and admin that helps me bring quality service to the Southerns Broadstock Interiors team. I’m so happy that I’ve found a role and a team that I enjoy working with.

My life outside of work is going to look very different soon as I’m currently going through my first pregnancy with twin boys. Let the fun commence!

David

Distribution Supervisor

I’ve worked in the furniture industry for the last 28 years and I’m so pleased to have found myself in a great team. Supervising the installation team gives me huge job satisfaction and is something I truly enjoy.

Something you should know about me is that I’m a big rugby league fan and support Wigan Warriors.

Jack

Transport Manager

As Southerns Broadstock Interiors' new Transport Manager, I look after our drivers and HGV vehicles. I love learning new skills and after over 20 years in the industry both driving and installing furniture, I believe there’s always more knowledge to gain and I look forward to it!

A fun and (very) random thing about me is that I recently acquired some backyard chickens, and they’re a perfect addition to my home!

Lee

Installer

I’ve developed immensely since being part of the Southerns Broadstock Interiors team. I couldn’t drive when I started working here, and fast forward to the present day and I’m a driver and installer who has gained a 7.5-tonne licence and I occasionally cover the team supervisor role too.

I have a unique combination of interests and enjoy a mixture of watching sports, drinking the odd beer and classic cars.

Brett

Installer

I spend most of my day driving a 7.5-tonne van and installing office furniture across the UK, providing first-class customer service to everyone I meet. I have a strong background in furniture; before this role, I was a supervisor assembling storage furniture.

I’m into history and World War II – both are huge interests of mine.

Louis

Driver/Installer

I spend most of my days delivering and installing Southerns Broadstock Interiors furniture around Yorkshire and the North-West of England and have been doing so for the last 6 years. I was a car salesman before making the jump and haven’t looked back since!

My son’s grassroots football team is one of my greatest joys and training and matches are how I spend most of my spare time.

Carl

Driver/Installer

I’m always busy delivering and installing our office furniture for our customers. I’ve been at Southerns Broadstock Interiors for over two years and always strive to provide first-class customer service, working on personal development where possible.

Football is one of my greatest loves, and I’m a proud season ticket holder at Bolton Wanderers.

Mick

Driver/Installer

I deliver our furniture to every customer with pride and respect. I’ve been delivering and installing furniture for the last 10 years, and before that, I was a HGV mechanic for 20 years, so I certainly know a thing or two about the vehicles I drive.

My life outside of work isn’t too different because I’m really into Lego. I enjoy building the cars the most – all too like the day job!

I’m proud to have worked for Southerns Broadstock Interiors for over 20 years and have built an incredibly strong knowledge of our products and how to build them seamlessly. I ensure every delivery is done so safely, and efficiently – it’s what makes me happy in my role and allows me to do it well.

Driver

As a driver, I take pride in providing safe transport for all our customers’ orders, making sure that our goods arrive responsibly and to the agreed timescale. My 15 years of experience allow me to do this job to the best of my ability, and I aim to keep progressing for as long as I’m able to do so.

Driver

I love driving, and that explains why I’ve done it for the last 25 years. I make sure every single order is secured and delivered safely to each customer. With a strong history in fitted furniture, making the switch to Southerns Broadstock Interiors was the perfect thing to do and the job satisfaction makes it all worthwhile.

Being outdoors is one of my greatest joys and I’ve recently found a big interest in hanging baskets, and how they improve the look of my garden.
