Our Organisation and Business

Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd design, supply, deliver, and install office furniture and is headquartered in the UK.

This statement is made pursuant to s.54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps that Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd has taken and is continuing to take to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking, and forced labour. Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery.

We fully respect fundamental human rights and are committed to the prevention of all forms of slavery, forced labour or servitude, child labour, and human trafficking. We will always conduct our business fairly, acting ethically and with integrity. We have effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within our business and our supply chain.

Our Policies:

We operate a number of internal policies to ensure that we are conducting business in an ethical manner. These include:

• Modern Slavery Policy (POLSBIL 048). This policy sets out our organisation’s stance onmodern slavery and explains how employees can identify any instances of this and wherethey can go for help. This includes a Modern Slavery Response Plan.

• Recruitment Policy (POLSBIL 008) We operate a robust recruitment policy, includingconducting eligibility-to-work checks in the UK for all employees to safeguard against humantrafficking or individuals being forced to work against their will.

• Whistleblowing Policy (POLSBIL 023). We operate a whistleblowing policy so that allemployees know that they can raise concerns about how colleagues are being treated, orpractices within our business or supply chain, without fear of reprisals.

• Ethical Policy (POLSBIL 044). This policy covers the organisation’s stance on any ethical issue,such as slavery and child labour, and explains the manner in which we behave as anorganisation and how we expect our employees and suppliers to behave.

• Sustainable & Ethical Purchasing Policy (POLSBIL 017) This policy covers the organisation’sstance on any ethical issue, such as slavery and child labour.

Our Workplaces

Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd confirms that the following applies to all of its sites:

• Employment within its companies is freely chosen

• Working conditions are safe and hygienic

MODERN SLAVERY POLICY

• Child labour shall not be used

• Living wages are paid

• Working hours are not excessive

• No discrimination is practised

• Regular employment is provided

• No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed.

Our Staff

Anyone working for, or on behalf of, Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd in any capacity, including as an employee, director, officer, worker, consultant, volunteer, supplier, or service provider, is required to read and comply with our policies.

Our HR Manager is the representative responsible on a day-to-day basis for this policy; however, the Managing Director is ultimately responsible for allocating the resources and preventing slavery and human trafficking in our business.

Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd makes appropriate checks on all employees, recruitment agencies, and suppliers to know who is working for or on behalf of us. We provide every employee with a written contract of employment and pay every employee in accordance with the law.

Our Training

We regularly conduct training for our procurement/buying teams so that they understand the signs of modern slavery and what to do if they suspect that it is taking place within our supply chain. We are registered with Stronger Together, a multi-stakeholder business-led initiative aiming to reduce modern slavery. This helps us to understand and provide guidance, training, and resources. We share and receive best practice examples to help continuously improve and maintain our commitment to tackling modern slavery.

Our Supply Chain

Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd requires all suppliers of goods and/or services to assess their business and supply chains and provide their modern slavery statement.

Due Diligence Process to Address Risk

Our supply chain team records and monitors this through supplier approval and management processes. These processes evidence that our supply chain complies with its legal obligations in relation to modern slavery and is committed to ensuring there is no slavery, forced labour or servitude, child labour, or human trafficking taking place in their business and supply chains, and confirm:

MODERN SLAVERY POLICY

1.They have taken steps to eradicate modern slavery within their business

2.They hold their own suppliers to account over modern slavery

3.(For UK-based suppliers) They pay their employees at least the national minimumwage/national living wage (as appropriate)

4.(For international suppliers) They pay their employees any prevailing minimum wageapplicable within their country of operations

If any supplier is found or suspected to be in breach of this policy, Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd may, at its sole discretion, terminate any current contracts and/or business relationships with the supplier, agree an appropriate course of remedial action, or pursue legal remedies.

Supplier Approval Process

All Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd suppliers, both new and existing, must complete a Supplier Approval Questionnaire. This is done as part of the initial supplier approval process and periodically thereafter. This provides evidential proof covering their governance, policies, training, and supply chain management processes. A key part of this is their understanding of and compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Supplier Audits

Suppliers must be willing to be audited by our standards team (or, where appropriate, by a third party nominated by Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd) on various elements, including Quality, Environmental, H&S, Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking, Child Labour, Forced Labour, Chain of Custody (where required), and any other area deemed a requirement of the business.

Reporting a Breach

Any breach or suspicion of modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or our supply chains must immediately be reported to the Managing Director. The Managing Director will investigate and report to our Board of Directors within a reasonable time on actions that are required.

A whistleblowing policy and procedure is in place, encouraging openness and support to anyone who raises genuine concerns. All policies and procedures are available to all staff via the company intranet. Posters in multiple languages are displayed within our buildings explaining this to all staff and suppliers

If a specific allegation of Modern Slavery is made, we will follow our Modern Slavery response plan. We will determine the appropriate enforcement body or victim support organisation to contact, protect and support individuals who are at risk. We will report the offence immediately to the police on 101, if potential victims are in immediate danger, the standard 999 emergency number will be used. We will capture, protect, and provide all evidence to the relevant law enforcement agencies.

Our performance indicators

We will know the effectiveness of the steps that we are taking to ensure that slavery and/or human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain if:

• No reports are received from employees, the public, or law enforcement agencies toindicate that modern slavery practices have been identified.

Targeted Improvements

The targeted areas of improvement for Southerns Broadstock Interiors Ltd over the next financial year are:

• Extending our policies and procedures through our supply chain

• Further investment in the development of our supply chain management system

• Launching our bespoke e-learning training platform with a module on modern slavery

• Offering joint training opportunities with our supply chain

• Partnering with organisations to target the reduction of modern slaver
